What is Sahara AI?

Sahara AI is a decentralized blockchain platform that enables the creation and monetization of artificial intelligence models, datasets, and applications in a collaborative ecosystem. The project has already raised $43M in Seed and Series A rounds from Polychain Capital, Pantera Capital, YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) and other major investors.

Recently Sahara AI launched season 3 Data Services Platform. This season is all about quality-ensuring every contribution strengthens decentralized AI.

Since the launch of Season 3, the number of transactions has grown by 7,866,651(+11%). But the daily active wallets figure has decreased (only 75k wallets received WL) and is holding steady at ~1.4M.

24%(720k) of active wallets made less than 5 transactions. Only 9%(250k) interacted with at least 1 contract, with 52% interacting with less than 5 contracts.

Only 43% of wallets were active in the testnet for more than 20 days.

Considering the above metrics, we can distinguish the following criteria for getting into the top 10% of testnet participants:

  • Make more than 50 transactions.
  • Interact with more than 3 contracts (total number of participants).
  • Interact with more than 30 contracts (statistics among wallets that interacted with contracts).
  • Be active for more than 10 days.
  • Hold more than 1 $SAH.

For Whitelisted Users

Step 1: Connect Your Wallet & Mint NFT

  2. Claim test tokens.

  3. Connect your whitelisted wallet.

  4. Mint the Sigil of the Initiate NFT (Soulbound, non-transferable). This NFT is required to access exclusive Discord channels.

Step 2: Join the Exclusive Discord Channels

  1. Join Sahara AI Discord: link.

  2. Navigate to the #collabland-join channel.

  3. Click “Let’s Go!” and verify your wallet.

  4. Once verified, you will get access to the Data Services channels.

Step 3: Completing Data Service Tasks

Once inside the Task Services section, you can apply for tasks or take an exam to qualify.

There are two roles, assigned randomly:

  • Annotator – Provides information and creates textual responses.
  • Reviewer – Checks Annotator submissions for accuracy and correctness.
Annotator Role

Tasks can be simple (Q&A, categorization, short descriptions) or advanced (writing prompts, character simulation, complex text generation).

Tips for Annotators:

  • Review example answers carefully before submitting.
  • Ensure unique and original responses to avoid duplication.
  • Higher-quality responses increase your chances of earning more rewards.
Reviewer Role

As a Reviewer, your task is to approve or disapprove responses.

Approval Criteria:

  • The response should be accurate, relevant, and well-structured.
  • If the response is incorrect or misleading, disapprove it and provide a reason.
  • Be cautious: Deliberate mistakes or careless reviews can lead to bans.
Step 4: Earning Points & Leaderboard
  • Sahara Points (SP) – Earned by completing Data Services tasks.
  • EXP (Experience Points) – Earned by completing Achievement tasks.
  • Only EXP counts for the Leaderboard, ensuring fair competition.
  • Top 25K users at the end of the season will receive extra SP rewards.
Bonus: Access to Premium Tasks
  • Users with the Demi Gods role (awarded to top performers from previous seasons) gain access to exclusive, high-value tasks.

For Non-Whitelisted Users

Even without WL, you can still earn rewards through Sahara Legends.

  2. Connect your wallet and start completing tasks.

Step 2: Completing Tasks

There are two ways to earn Shards:

  1. Social Tasks – Complete activities on Galxe (likes, reposts, follows).

  2. Data Service Tasks – Perform annotation and reviewing tasks.

Social Tasks
  • These are simple engagement tasks like following social media accounts, liking posts, and sharing content.
  • Completing social tasks earns Shards, which contribute to your ranking.
Data Service Tasks (No WL Required)
  • Even without WL, you can access certain annotation and reviewing tasks.
  • Similar to whitelisted users, you will be assigned either an Annotator or Reviewer role.
  • Carefully follow task instructions and maintain high quality to maximize your rewards.
Step 3: Earning Points & Maximizing Rewards
  • Shards – Earned from Sahara Legends activities.

    Sahara Points (SP) – Gained from consistent participation.
  • The more tasks you complete, the more rewards you accumulate.
